An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and experienced Head Chef to join a country pub in Cheshire and lead the kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in culinary arts and restaurant management, with a passion for food safety and quality. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and production while fostering a positive and efficient working environment.

As the Head Chef you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations.
  • Developing and designing innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Overseeing food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Implementing and maintaining food safety standards in accordance with health regulations.
  • Managing inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling costs to optimise kitchen efficiency.
  • Training, supervising, and mentoring kitchen staff, promoting professional development within the team.
  • Collaborating with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Monitoring kitchen performance and implement improvements as necessary.

The Head Chef will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the culinary or hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen management.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff and customers alike.
  • A passion for food production and a commitment to delivering outstanding dining experiences.
