A proper paraplanning role for someone who loves the technical side of financial planning.

If you're a Paraplanner who wants to do more than process paperwork and populate reports, this should be worth a conversation.

Miller Knight is looking for an experienced Paraplanner to work closely with the Managing Director, playing a genuinely important role in forming the advice that ultimately reaches clients.

You'll research. You'll analyse. You'll model different scenarios in Voyant. You'll challenge thinking, identify planning opportunities and get properly involved in working out what good financial planning looks like for each individual client.

The role

Working closely with the MD, you'll take real ownership of the technical work behind Miller Knight's financial planning.

You'll undertake detailed research and due diligence across products, platforms, investments and providers, carry out technical calculations, consider asset allocation, risk and lifetime cash flows and use Voyant extensively to model different scenarios and help shape recommendations.

You'll also produce clear, engaging planning reports and suitability letters that turn all that technical thinking into something meaningful and understandable for clients.

This is a role where your expertise and opinion will be valued.

About you

You'll already be an experienced Paraplanner with strong technical financial planning knowledge and ideally at least three years' paraplanning experience.

You'll hold a Level 4 Certificate in Paraplanning or Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning as a minimum.

You'll be comfortable with Voyant, highly numerate and someone who genuinely enjoys getting into the detail.

But you'll also understand why that detail matters.

You'll be curious, analytical and confident enough to form a view rather than simply follow instructions. You'll take ownership of your work, communicate well and enjoy being part of a small team where your contribution is visible.

Additional qualifications such as J01, J02, PTS, Chartered or Certified status are welcomed, but aren't essential.

What you'll get

£45,000 – £50,000, depending on experience.

You'll also receive a 5% employer pension contribution, rising to 12% after three years, death in service at 4x salary, 25 days' holiday, your birthday off and Christmas leave.

The role is hybrid, with a minimum of three days a week in the Lingfield office.
