Operations Manager - Multi-Family Office
Job Description:
Operations Manager
Investment/Wealth Management/Multi-Family Office | City of London
£50,000 | Full-time | Mainly office-based with hybrid days
If you know financial planning or wealth management operations inside out — and you're the kind of person who can't help thinking about how systems, processes and technology should fit together — this could be for you.
We are looking for an Operations Manager to help build the operational model behind a modern, technology-led wealth management business.
This isn't a role where you'll inherit a finished operational framework and simply keep it running.
You'll help build it.
Processes. Procedures. Workflows. Technology. Automation. AI.
The aim is to create a genuinely best-in-class operational environment as the company grows — and you'll have the opportunity to become the person at the centre of it.
So, if you're slightly obsessed with getting things right, exceptionally process-driven and excited by what technology can do within wealth management, keep reading.
About us
We are an ambitious Multi-Family Office, discretionary investment management and financial planning business based in the City of London, working with High-Net-Worth clients, entrepreneurs and their families.
It's a relatively young business with ambitious growth plans, using an institutional platform in partnership with our partners. Technology, automation and AI will play an important part in how the business operates as it develops.
The ambition is to build a best-in-class modern family office.
That's where you come in.
The opportunity
You'll work closely with founder and take real ownership of how our operational model develops.
This is a hands-on role. You'll be involved in client onboarding, account opening, transfers, payments, platforms, providers and the everyday operational work that keeps a wealth management business moving.
But you'll also be an architect and builder.
You'll design processes, procedures and workflows. You'll explore how technology, automation and AI can be embedded intelligently. And you'll become the person who really understands how the operational pieces fit together.
This isn't a role where you recommend what somebody else should build. You'll design it, build it and make sure it works.
What we're looking for
Experience within financial planning and/or wealth management operations is essential.
You'll probably have around five years' experience and understand the client journey, platforms, providers and operational realities of this type of business.
Beyond that, we're looking for someone who is:
- Process-driven, exceptionally organised and seriously detail-focused.
- Technically curious and genuinely interested in AI and automation.
- Proactive — you see what needs doing rather than waiting to be told.
- Comfortable taking ownership and seeing things through.
- Happy designing the process and rolling your sleeves up to do the work.
We describe our person as a systematic operator: diligent, accountable, client-first and someone who takes ownership and fully completes tasks.
Why make the move?
Perhaps you're working within an established financial planning or wealth management business and know you're capable of more.
You understand operations. You can see how technology could be used. You have ideas about processes and automation.
But you're not being given the opportunity to build.
Here, you will.
You'll work directly with the founder. Your ideas will be heard. You'll have visibility with clients and partners and the freedom to make a genuine impact on how the business develops.
And as we grow, so can your role. The ambition is for this person to become increasingly pivotal, with the potential to progress into a significantly more senior Operations position over time.
If you're looking for an established operation where everything has already been built, this probably isn't it.
If you want the opportunity to help build a best-in-class one, we'd like to hear from you.
