We are delighted to be recruiting for an outstanding employer based in Northern Ireland.

Our client is one of the world's largest suppliers of conveyor pulleys, with manufacturing facilities in Ireland and China producing in excess of 50,000 pulleys annually.

This is a family run business with over 30 years experience in manufacturing conveyor pulleys. With their ever expanding client base, they are currently expanding their headquarters in Ireland to be able to meet increasing demand.

JOB DETAILS:

Job Title: Fitter

Work Location: Dungannon, Co. Tyrone

Reports To: Shift Team Leader/Production Supervisor

Job Purpose: To assemble components to meet production requirements.

Schedule: It is a 40hr week, with a 15xmins paid tea break and a 30xmins unpaid lunch break and 4x shift patterns:

Morning shifts: 6am to 3pm Mon to Thurs and Fri 6am to 12noon

& 7am to 4pm Mon to Thurs and Fri 7am to 1pm

Day Shift: 8am to 5pm Mon to Thurs and Fri 8am 2pm

Evening Shift: 3pm 11:40pm Mon to Thurs and Fri 12noon to 6pm

Salary: £11.85 - 12.5 per hour

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To assemble components to the required quality standards in accordance with engineering drawings.
  • To read, understand and correctly implement engineering drawings.
  • To handle, transport and store component parts as per training and instruction.
  • To load the completed assembly onto the vehicle for transport.
  • To maintain work equipment and a safe and well organised workstation.
  • To complete daily safety checks to ensure work equipment is in good working order and submit all necessary check sheets as required.
  • To work in accordance with relevant risk assessments and safe systems of work, as per Health & Safety training and instruction.
  • To follow instructions provided by Production Supervisor.
  • To comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Any other duties, within reason and capability, as agreed with the General Manager / Supervisor.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Essential:

  • Good standard of education to GCSE level or equivalent
  • Previous fitting experience
  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • A strong work ethic

Desirable:

  • Valid Forklift Truck licence
  • Good knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Operational use of Cranes, Abrasive Wheels, Air & Hand Tools
