We are delighted to be recruiting for an outstanding employer based in Northern Ireland. This is a permanent role, working with a Structural Steel Fabrication company in the Magherafelt area. The successful candidate will have full autonomy and will play a crucial role in the future success of this family business.

Our client is currently on the lookout for:

  • Draughtsperson / Steel Detailer

Job Details:

Work Location: Magherafelt Area, Northern Ireland

Schedule: It is a 40hr per week

Salary: £22000 - £32000: Salary depends on experience

Some duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Preparing shop detailed drawings, elevations, and marking plans for approval and fabrication purposes using Tekla Structures.
  • Reading and interpreting architectural drawings, engineering drawings, surveyors drawings, and site information to produce detailed shop drawings.
  • Creating fabrication drawings and reports using Tekla Structures.
  • Resolve documentation conflicts/issues proactively and promptly.

About You:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Structural Steel Detailer.
  • Proficient in Tekla Structures required
  • Proficient in using Autodesk AutoCAD software or any equivalent engineering software
  • Proficient in interpreting design drawings
  • Knowledgeable in using Microsoft applications
  • Preferably one (1) year of experience in detailing using Tekla Structures
  • Advanced knowledge of steel manufacturing and fabrication
  • Be capable of working independently and undertake final checking before issuing shop drawings for fabrication.
  • High attention to detail in compliance with relevant structural steel codes & standards
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) and the ability to articulate to various stakeholders and clients - are required.
  • Be able to prioritize work using excellent time management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Innovative, creative, and lateral thinker

Immediate start in the Maghera / Magherafelt area.
