Interim Senior Financial Controller - Americold (INGEVULD)

For our client Americold we are recruiting an Interim Financial Controller who can hit the ground running.

Americold is a global provider of temperature-controlled infrastructure. They partner with farmers and food producers to ensure their perishable and frozen product reaches food suppliers, restaurants, and your local grocery store without spoilage. Their customers, which include some of the most respected brands in the food industry, rely on our expertise and commitment to safety to deliver on their commitments.

Americold is implementing Oracle Cloud for all European countries where they operate in. During the implementation, which is expected to go live on 1 October 2026, they are looking for an all-round Senior Financial Controller who will support the finance teams during the implementation.

The ideal candidate has profound knowledge of financial systems and processes. They are specifically looking for a person with all-round experience within different finance departments, as you will be supporting both the Europe Headquarters finance department, as well as from time to time the local teams within Europe, during this temporary assignment, which is expected to end on 31 October 2026.

Key Responsibilities

The role has been created to support the current finance teams while they work on both the Oracle implementation and normal routines. Therefore the tasks will vary amongst these activities:

• Month end close activities

• Audit support

• Support on SOX controls

• Tax compliance

• Balance sheet reconciliations

• Fixed Asset reconciliations and related work

• Clean up activities of master data, general ledger etc.

• Ad-hoc accounting activities supporting the Senior Financial Accountant

• Writing process descriptions

Key Qualifications

• A masters degree in Finance & Control, Business Administration or alike.

• At least 10 years of experience in different finance departments and roles

• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; and intermediate level of Dutch is a plus.

• Technical Skills:

• Microsoft Dynamics Business Central

• Microsoft Excel

• Oracle Cloud, is a big plus
