Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor with expertise in fit-out projects to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing costs, contracts, and budgets throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring cost efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with project teams, contractors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Estimation & Budgeting:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility studies for fit-out projects.
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements to forecast costs.
  • Provide value engineering solutions to optimize project costs without compromising quality.

Tendering & Procurement:

  • Prepare and issue tender documents, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), and contracts for subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Evaluate tender submissions, negotiate prices, and recommend award decisions.
  • Ensure procurement activities align with project budgets and timelines.

Contract Administration:

  • Manage contractual agreements with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Handle variations, claims, and change orders, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
  • Monitor and enforce contract compliance to avoid disputes.

Cost Control & Financial Management:

  • Track project expenditures, monitor costs, and prepare financial reports.
  • Conduct cost analysis and forecasting to prevent overruns.
  • Approve and certify progress payments and invoices for subcontractors.

Site & Project Coordination:

  • Conduct site visits to verify work progress, measure quantities, and assess variations.
  • Work closely with project managers, designers, and site teams to align costs with project scope.
  • Ensure projects are completed within budget while maintaining quality standards.

Reporting & Compliance:

  • Prepare monthly cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and project financial summaries.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, contract terms, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in quantity surveying, specifically in fit-out projects (commercial, retail, hospitality, or residential).
  • Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, contract administration, and cost control.
  • Familiarity with FIDIC contracts, local building regulations, and procurement processes.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, CostX, or similar QS software.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
