About the Job:
The Supply Chain Manager holds a strategic role in optimizing the company logistics, quality and values delivered to clients.
Duties:
Employees should adhere to company rules and fulfill their assigned responsibilities, while also recognizing that their duties may extend beyond the specific tasks outlined. Employees should maintain professional conduct by showing respect and courtesy to all colleagues, adhering to the dress code, and using professional communication skills. Proper hygiene, accurate attendance, and mindful use of company property are also essential for maintaining professionalism.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for directing and monitoring overall procurement and supply chain operations.
- Develop procurement strategies, negotiate contracts and ensure relationships with suppliers are well maintained by the procurement team.
- Set import export strategies and ensure the proper overflow of goods from various aspects including transportation, handling, storage, rotation and distribution supplier to branches and among CPU and branches.
- Ensure efficient inventory control and creates risk management solutions for obstacles encountered during the whole process.
- Set logistic plans to guide the procurement of raw materials which are essential for production operations and develop an efficient logistic operation.
- Ensure the adherence to local and international regulation in the whole supply chain process including safety and quality control standards including SASO (Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization), VAT, SFDA (Saudi Food and Drug Authority), Labor Law, SAIP (Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property), etc..
- Ensure that goods are delivered in a timely manner where the supply process pace meets the operational needs and ensures the balance between supply and demand.
- Monitor and lead the procurement team to manage orders and re-orders to optimize inventory levels, balance supply and demand, reduce costs and ensure efficient resource utilization.
- Conduct inventory management monitoring to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Ensures that all the purchasing cycle data, approvals, data entry, tracking of items are reflected on the Oracle system by the team, digitized and clear for accountability prospects. Develop and maintain strong communication with local suppliers to ensure smooth workflow, especially those of chicken and meat.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers inside and outside Riyadh to obtain the best deals and broader options.
- Request reports from the procurement team to evaluate suppliers performance, product quality, credibility and implement improvement plans when necessary.
- Ensure that the contracts and agreements with suppliers are designed to ensure advantageous terms for the company.
- Ensure that the whole supply chain and procurement teams are abiding by the companys rules and regulations including obtaining more than 1 supplier for goods and be able to provide 3 quotations for products or as requested by the company.
- Review and approve contracts to ensure compliance with the companys policies.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to achieve saving targets.
- Work closely with all departments, including operations, finance and CPU to align procurement activities with business objectives and needs.
- Handle risks associated with the supply chain management and operation.
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulations related to procurement, shipping and storage.
- Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance and market trends and discuss with senior management.
- Stay updated with market trends and suppliers credibility to be able to analyze data and make decisions driven by analysis.
- Coordinate with the finance department and storekeepers on all financial aspects regarding procurement.
- Conduct continuous research and innovative solutions to boost values in terms of time and costs.
- Manages directly the day-to-day SC operations and the team working within the department.
- Expand personal network with global and local potential stakeholders, and attend key exhibitions related to supply chain.
- Develop the yearly departmental budget.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration or Accounting
- 7-10 years of experience in the same field
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills
- Communication and organizational Skills
- Familiar with supply chain ERP systems and Oracle
