Position Overview
The E-Commerce Manager will lead the full digital commerce function, overseeing strategy, sales performance, marketplace management, and operational excellence across major online channels. This role requires a strong commercial leader with hands-on marketplace experience, the ability to drive revenue growth, and proven team management capabilities.
The ideal candidate will own the end-to-end online business including strategic planning, content and merchandising oversight, pricing management, analytics, and cross-functional coordination while managing and developing a growing e-commerce team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership & Online Business Growth
- Develop and execute the overall e-commerce strategy across platforms such as Amazon, Noon, Carrefour, and the companys website.
- Set and monitor monthly and annual revenue targets, ensuring consistent achievement through structured action plans.
- Enhance product visibility, competitiveness, and conversion rates through data-driven tactics.
- Build and manage marketplace relationships while negotiating for visibility, deals, and promotional support.
2. Product, Content & Merchandising Management
- Oversee the accuracy, quality, and SEO optimization of all product listings.
- Approve digital merchandising layouts to maximize discoverability and enhance customer experience.
- Ensure consistent brand representation across all digital channels.
3. Pricing, Promotions & Campaigns
- Lead pricing strategy and margin management in line with business goals.
- Plan and approve major promotional campaigns, seasonal activations, and bundle offerings.
- Coordinate with Marketing for campaign execution and ensure platform-wide alignment.
- Evaluate campaign performance and optimize future activities based on ROI.
4. Sales Performance, Reporting & Analytics
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales KPIs across all platforms.
- Track critical metrics including conversion rate, buy box %, page views, stock movement, and profitability.
- Identify underperforming SKUs and develop targeted improvement plans.
- Conduct ongoing competitor and market analysis to drive informed decision-making.
5. Operations & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate closely with warehouse, logistics, procurement, and finance teams to ensure smooth order processing, accurate stock levels, and timely dispatch.
- Lead resolution of platform-related escalations, customer concerns, and operational issues.
- Ensure full compliance with marketplace policies to prevent penalties or account risks.
6. Team Leadership & Development
- Manage, guide, and mentor E-commerce Specialists and Assistants.
- Assign tasks, set team KPIs, and evaluate performance regularly.
- Train staff on listing optimization, campaign management, analysis, and platform best practices.
- Foster a culture of ownership, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, E-Commerce, or a related field.
- 68 years of e-commerce experience, with at least 23 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of Amazon, Noon, Carrefour, and other marketplace ecosystems.
- Experience in managing digital P&L, pricing strategies, and promotional planning.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analytics; experience with dashboards and reporting tools.
- Strong leadership abilities with proven experience managing and developing teams.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
