Role: Senior Engineer

Salary: $75,000 - $90,000

Recruiting Heroes is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Engineer to join our client in Omaha, Nebraska.

Our client is seeking to hire a senior-level team member with strong leadership skills and broad experience across multiple technology disciplines. 

The ideal candidate for this position will be someone who possesses:

A solid understanding of computer systems, networks, cybersecurity measures, etc.

An understanding of the need for processes and standards and is willing to
create and follow them.

Excellent documentation, organization, and time management skills.

Outstanding communication skills with both internal teams and able to articulate technical information clearly and simply to non-technical people.

Experience in analysis, implementation, and evaluation of IT systems and their
specifications.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support for issues including computer hardware, Windows, and Mac OS performance/configuration, M365 administration and applications, security breaches & incident management, VPN and network connectivity issues, customer applications, email, file access and recovery, print/fax, etc.

Proactively identify when an issue needs assistance from the owner or 3rd party vendors and work with other team members as needed to drive issue resolution.

Provide superior customer service, keeping customers updated every step of the way, listen, empathize, and follow through on all commitments.

Keep client documentation up to date when changes are made or new SOPs are created.

Take ownership of tasks and tickets, following through to ensure complete
resolution.

Takes personal pride in the quality of work performed.

Deal effectively with stressful situations.

Able to quickly learn new technologies using self-study materials and intuition.

Actively mentor other technicians to build teams skills.

Required Experience

Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and
experience
5+ years of technical support experience with advanced customer service skills
Microsoft Operating Systems (all desktop and server versions)
SAN/Storage
Data Backup and Recovery and Data Replication (Spanning, Unitrends, Azure,
Microsoft)
Hypervisor technologies (VMWare, Microsoft Hyper-V)
Multi-Factor Authentication
Networking (TCP/IP, Routing Protocols, DCHP, VLANS, VPN, DNS, SD-WAN)
Firewall Technologies (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, SonicWALL)
Wireless Technologies
Microsoft Platform Systems (Active Directory, IIS, Exchange, SQL, SharePoint,
OneDrive, RDS/Terminal Services and SCCM)
Azure and Microsoft Office 365 conversions
Kaseya VSA, Datto, Autotask, ITGlue, and Rocket Cyber
