About Us

Our client is seeking a motivated and skilled Electrical Engineering Technician to join our growing team in Blayney, NSW. This is a full-time position supporting the design, installation, maintenance, and optimisation of electrical systems across residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical engineering operations by assisting in the planning, development, and implementation of electrical systems and infrastructure
• Ensure all work complies with relevant Australian standards, safety regulations, and company procedures
• Liaise with engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure project requirements are met efficiently
• Contribute to continuous improvement of electrical processes and system performance

Tasks

• Assist in the preparation of technical drawings, plans, and specifications for electrical installations
• Conduct testing, fault finding, and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems
• Monitor and report on system performance, identifying potential improvements or issues
• Install, calibrate, and maintain electrical components and control systems
• Interpret technical diagrams and schematics to support installation and repair work
• Ensure accurate documentation of maintenance activities, test results, and project progress
• Assist in commissioning and troubleshooting electrical systems

Qualifications

• Certificate IV or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a closely related field
• Relevant Australian-recognised qualifications or equivalent

Skills

• Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and components
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
• Sound problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements
• Proficiency in relevant tools, equipment, and software used in electrical work

Experience

• At least 2–3 years of relevant work experience in a similar role (preferred)
• Experience working on residential, commercial, or industrial electrical projects is advantageous

ANNUAL SALARY $80K - $90K
