RecruitUp Pty Ltd is actively seeking passionate, motivated, and experienced professionals for our client in Kerrang, Victoria:
Mechanical Engineering Technician
Pressure Welder
Machinist
These roles are essential to support our clients growing demand for skilled professionals across the engineering and manufacturing industries. As Australia faces ongoing skills shortages, we are dedicated to helping businesses fill crucial gaps with highly qualified talent.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Mechanical Engineering Technician:
Assist engineers in the design and installation of mechanical equipment and plant.
Assemble and install mechanical assemblies, machine tools, and controls.
Conduct field and laboratory tests and analyze data.
Organize inspections and maintenance of machines and plants.
Ensure designs and finished work meet regulatory and contractual standards.
Pressure Welder:
Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine job requirements.
Select, prepare, and cut metal sections using hand tools and cutting machines.
Align, assemble, and weld metal sections using various techniques.
Inspect welds for precision, bead width, and penetration.
Finish and clean welds using grinding, polishing, and filing techniques.
Machinist:
Read technical drawings and specifications to determine machining processes.
Operate and set up machines for cutting, shaping, and forming metal.
Fit fabricated metal parts and subassemblies into machines.
Conduct inspections for accuracy using precision instruments.
Cut, thread, and install hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines.
THE PERSON
The ideal candidates for these roles will possess:
A minimum of three (3) years relevant experience in a similar role.
Relevant formal qualifications (highly regarded) or equivalent practical experience.
Registration or licensing where required for the position.
Remuneration: The salary will be competitive and commensurate with the candidate's skills and experience, ranging from AUD $70,000 to $85,000 per annum.
