About Us:

Join a Leading Steel Housing Solutions Provider. Our client is an innovative engineering company specialising in steel frame housing systems. They are currently seeking an experienced and qualified Metal Fabricator to join their growing team.
This is a hands-on role involving the manufacture, assembly, and installation of steel frames and flooring systems for residential construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Prepare and treat metal surfaces through grinding, sanding, or similar techniques
• Set up and operate welding and cutting equipment (including MIG, TIG, arc welders, plasma cutters)
• Fabricate and assemble steel components to project specifications
• Inspect completed welds and assemblies for quality and accuracy
• Install prefabricated steel structures on-site for housing projects
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and procedures
• Be willing to travel interstate as required for project delivery

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum 7 years experience in metal fabrication and welding
• Trade qualification in metal fabrication or welding or relevant experience
• At least 2 years' experience in residential construction projects
• High school certificate or equivalent
• CEFR C1 level English proficiency
• Current Drivers Licence
