Compensation: $111,000 - $140,000 (Salary Range: $135,000 - $141,000)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to oversee the nursing leadership and operations of a behavioral health facility. This role requires a BSN, an active state nursing license, and prior experience in psychiatric or behavioral healthcare. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, ensuring high-quality patient care and fostering a culture of compassion, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the nursing management team, ensuring exceptional patient care.
- Act as a liaison between physicians, patients, referral sources, and employees.
- Develop and maintain nursing policies, procedures, and quality assurance programs.
- Prepare monthly reports on departmental performance, staffing, and patient care initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and patient safety protocols.
- Promote professional development and training for nursing staff.
- Support the organizations mission and philosophy of care, driving continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Current unencumbered nursing license in the State of Washington.
Prior Behavioral Health/Psychiatric Health experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
⭐ Masters degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration.
⭐ Prior leadership experience in an inpatient behavioral health setting.
⭐ Experience in patient assessments, treatment planning, and communication with external review organizations.
