About the Role
Were seeking a skilled Application Support Engineer to join a leading financial services organization. Youll play a critical role in maintaining production application stability, resolving incidents, implementing automation, and supporting audits and disaster recovery for complex enterprise platforms. This is a contract-to-hire position for professionals with strong hands-on skills in both application and infrastructure layers.
Key Responsibilities

Analyze, triage, and resolve critical production alerts and application defects.

Own end-to-end incident resolution and root cause analysis with a proactive mindset.

Review and maintain knowledge base articles and runbooks in collaboration with development teams.

Support audit responses, BCM documentation, and disaster recovery execution.

Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual work in application monitoring and support.

Lead and execute production deployments, including vendor application upgrades.

Collaborate closely with internal dev teams to provide feedback into application design.

Promote and align with risk and control processes throughout daily support activities.
Must-Have Qualifications

4+ years of experience in application support or related IT roles.

Strong expertise in:

Java/J2EE, Oracle/SQL, IBM MQ,

ServiceNow (SNOW) / ITIL processes,

Splunk, Autosys

Proficient in Linux/Unix environments and cloud platforms like AWS.

Solid understanding of application infrastructure and troubleshooting methodologies.

Bachelors degree preferred (or equivalent technical experience).
Preferred Skills

Experience with Docker/Kubernetes or other containerization technologies.

Familiarity with IIB (IBM Integration Bus) and basic networking concepts.

Background in the Finance & Securities domain.
