We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Fishmonger with previous supermarket experience to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in preparing, cutting, and displaying a variety of fresh seafood while providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities

• Prepare, clean, and cut various types of fish and seafood according to customer specifications.
• Ensure the seafood counter is well-stocked, clean, and attractively displayed to maximize sales.
• Provide expert advice to customers regarding seafood selection, preparation methods, and storage.
• Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards, adhering to supermarket policies and government regulations.
• Monitor stock levels and freshness, and assist in ordering and receiving seafood shipments.
• Handle transactions, assist with packaging, and ensure a positive customer experience.
• Work closely with the team to meet sales targets and ensure smooth daily operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Fishmonger in a supermarket or similar retail environment.
• Knowledge of different fish species and seafood products.
• Proficiency in knife handling and fish filleting techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining hygiene standards.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to provide outstanding customer service.
• Ability to work in a cold environment and stand for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
