Description
Our clients culinary team is seeking a passionate Demi Chef specializing in a la carte western cuisine. This role is ideal for someone looking to advance their culinary career in a dynamic kitchen environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present salads, cold appetizers, and charcuterie, ensuring the highest quality and presentation.
- Assist in menu planning and development for the larder section in collaboration with the Executive Chef.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on larder section techniques and best practices.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the larder area, following health and safety regulations.
- Monitor and manage inventory for the larder section, placing orders as necessary.
- Create innovative larder recipes that align with hotel dining concepts and guest preferences.
- Conduct regular quality checks of ingredients and prepared items to ensure freshness and safety.
- Collaborate with other kitchen sections to ensure efficient service and coordination during peak hours.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of special events and banquets as needed.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience as a Demi Chef or Commis Chef in a fast-paced kitchen, preferably with a focus on a la carte western cuisine.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Culinary degree or relevant qualification is a plus.
