Description

We are seeking skilled Jointers to join our clients team. The Joiner will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. The ideal candidate should have a strong attention to detail, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and layout.
• Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials according to specifications.
• Assemble and install structures and fixtures, such as windows, doors, and framework.
• Repair and maintain existing structures and fixtures.
• Operate and maintain woodworking machinery and tools safely.
• Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as carpenters, electricians, and plumbers.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist in estimating project costs and timelines.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Joiner or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of woodworking techniques and tools.
• Familiarity with safety standards and regulations.
• Ability to read technical documents and drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good physical condition and stamina.
• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a joinery apprenticeship is a plus.
• Knowledge of carpentry techniques and woodworking machinery is preferred.
