Removal Defense Paralegal

Reclatam is hiring on behalf of our client for a Paralegal with experience in removal defense to support an immigration law practice. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in handling cases before EOIR, including defensive asylum matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with removal defense cases before EOIR

• Prepare and file applications, including defensive asylum (Form I-589)

• Draft legal documents, motions, and supporting materials

• Manage case files, deadlines, and court calendars

• Communicate with clients to gather information and documentation

• Ensure compliance with immigration procedures and requirements

Requirements

• Proven experience as a paralegal in immigration law, specifically removal defense

• Strong knowledge of EOIR processes and procedures

• Experience handling defensive asylum cases

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Bilingual (English/Spanish)

• Experience working with U.S.-based immigration law firms
