About the Role
The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-motivated, and tech-savvy, with a strong command of both English and Spanish (written and verbal). This role requires someone with a warm, caring, and client-focused approach, dedicated to helping families navigate the legal process.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively in English and Spanish at a professional level
- Process mail and calendar deadlines efficiently
- Collaborate with attorneys and team members to identify tasks and delegate as needed
- Prepare client applications and supporting documents, including but not limited to:
- 42B, I-589, I-765, DACA, U-Visas, I-130 & AOS, I-601A, FOIA, PIP, VAWA, K-1, K-3, consular process, bond packets, etc. (Training provided if experience is limited in specific areas)
- Draft template motions (e.g., motion to continue, motion to terminate proceedings, motion to change venue, motion to withdraw)
- Ensure client files are complete, accurate, and up to date
Qualifications & Skills
- Fluent in English & Spanish (written and verbal)
- 3+ years of experience in immigration and/or criminal law
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in legal software, case management tools, and Microsoft Office
