About the Role
This newly created role of Maintenance Planner is based on Lihir Island, PNG, for a world-class geotechnical project. The role focuses on maintaining and optimizing a diverse mobile fleet in a geothermally active environment, ensuring operational excellence and team coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and deliver comprehensive maintenance schedules for earthworks and mobile fleets, including heavy and light vehicles.
  • Utilize MEX software to streamline maintenance planning and optimize equipment performance.
  • Provide leadership and direction to workshop teams, fostering a collaborative and safety-first environment.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and coordinate parts procurement to minimize downtime.
  • Monitor and adapt schedules to meet project needs, ensuring alignment with operational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental protocols in all maintenance activities.
  • Engage in proactive problem-solving to address challenges in a dynamic, remote environment.

About You

  • Extensive experience in mobile plant maintenance, with expertise in earthworks or mining equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, diesel fitting, and equipment maintenance schedules.
  • Proven ability to manage a diverse fleet and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficient in MEX software and other maintenance planning tools.
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills, with a proactive and adaptable approach.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to motivate and guide teams effectively.
  • Previous FIFO experience, particularly in remote or international settings, is highly regarded.

Preferred Qualifications

  • First Aid certification.
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental best practices.
  • Ability to pass medical and police checks.
