This collaborative venture with their subsidiary, is valued at $385 million and encompasses a 10-year program, with the initial four years dedicated to project delivery.
The Role
Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Senior Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing the contracts and purchase orders for the project.This role offers a clear career path with advancement to Procurement Manager within 12 to 14 months
Responsibilities
- Support Contract & Procurement Planning: Assist in developing contract templates, the procurement management plan, and RFP templates.
- Vendor Management: Assist in vendor analysis, participate in RFP evaluation, and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Technical Coordination: Collaborate with design and construction teams to clarify technical requirements, update package lists, and ensure technical approvals.
- Cost Optimization: Negotiate favorable terms with vendors to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality standards.
- ERP System Usage: Utilize the project's ERP system for daily procurement activities.
- Cross-departmental Collaboration: Participate in review workshops and maintain strong working relationships with other departments.
- Procurement Reporting: Produce procurement reports as required and assume Procurement Manager duties in their absence
Requirements
- Min. 5+ years' experience in procurement experience spanning strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, supplier management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience in water projects procurement (construction phase) highly regarded
- Strong technical, contractual, and commercial knowledge in the water sector
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
- Experience with ERP systems and collaborative teamwork
