About the job Functional Analyst

Job brief:

As Functional Analyst, you will be an essential part of the Settlement IT Team. You will contribute to the growth of Clearstream because you ensure that new functionalities are correctly implemented. Therefore, you translate business requirements into a specification that your developers rely on, then test them and participate in their implementation. You will also support all kind of IT projects/programs across the organisation.

You will be responsible for:

  • Review, understand and analyse and comment business requirements.
  • Prepare and describe the impacts on other projects, business processes and systems.
  • Interface between business and IT development.
  • Create detailed functional and systems requirements, ability to write SRA.
  • Establish deliverable planning and follow up on progress based on detailed project plan.
  • During Specification Phase actively support functional issue resolution.
  • Delivery of Functional Acceptance Criteria and test approach.
  • Produce, document, perform and validate test cases.
  • Provide detail reporting about test status, including documentation of software defects.
  • Work together with business and IT to facilitate resolution of issues and defects during.
  • System Test and BAT.
  • Help for production issue resolution and provide support for explaining system results and resolving customer queries.
  • Assist and advise customers testing activities.
  • Prepare and support internal users / customer training.
  • Presentations to end users about functional matters.
  • Work with prescribed methodologies for involvement in all stages of project lifecycle.

Main skills:

  • 2-3 years experience in a financial institution back-office, or as functional or business analyst in the securities and cash industry;
  • Strong interest in Information Technology;
  • PC literate, experience with collaboration tools such as Jira, Github; 
  • strong knowledge about SQL, databases; use case modelling;
  • Ability to meet challenging project deadlines and deliver in a fast moving and change oriented environment.

  • Fluency in English – both written and spoken;
  • Excellent organisational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail;
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills;
  • Team player with a positive and pro-active attitude;
  • Ability to work and produce good results under pressure within a team environment;
  • Previous experience working in an agile environment;
  • University degree or equivalent professional qualification or experience.
