FrontEnd Developer Technical Lead

Job brief:

Deutsche Boerse Services and Clearstream are both a German-based companies, which has their Technology Hub located in the Prague centre. Theres over 1000 technical people working. The business and senior management is located mostly in Germany and the Technology Hub has quite an independent position. Due to this reason they are open to the new technologies and delivery approach. They are structured according to their products (Funds, Energy, Trading, Clearing, Settlement, Data IT, Risk IT, ) and these product divisions are also independent from management point of view. They have new premises with modern open-space offices located nearby the Vltava river on the metro station. Their internal culture is driver by the fact, that this is an Technology Hub, so its open-minded with casual dress code, but also limited to the nature of their business Boerse / Exchange which is strictly regulated, so they are focused on the quality, risk management and security or integrity of their applications.
Deutsche Boerse Services are primarily focus on the development of the software tools used for trading and operations on the German Exchange. Clearstream is focus on post-trading services like Settlement. Both companies belong to the same Deutsche Boerse Group.

The Asset Servicing department is responsible for the Custody and Connectivity products of Clearstream. The application landscape mostly consists of Web, Java and C++ applications which are running on top of large databases. We are looking for experienced FrontEnd developer in ReactJS to work in our team located in Prague, Czech Republic.

You will be responsible for:

•  You will join a talented and energetic team leading the development of a communication web platform. You will be working alongside a strong team of agile experts in the full product development process from problem definition to polished pixel.

Main skills:

• Good programming skills and practical 4 years experience in ReactJS, Redux, TypeScript.
• Experience in creating user friendly UI.
• Technical guidance of team:
  • Leading junior FrontEnd developers;
  • Ensuring right React architecture and application design.
• Experience with Git (GitHub).
• Design APIs.
• Familiarity with development and scripting under Unix/Linux.
• Ability to work across several development streams.
• Supporting all activities related to end to end testing including support for business testers and execution team.

Nice to have knowledge:

• A background in financial markets, clearing or banking.
• AWS / Azure / GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift.

Personal skills:

• Fluency in English both written and spoken;
• High analytical thinking with attention to detail and problem solving attitude;
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills;
• Good team player with high ability to work in international teams;
• Previous experience working in an agile environment;
• Ability to work in a team and to be result oriented;
• University degree in IT or relevant.
