Business Analyst - Data (BGC, On-Site)

JOB PURPOSE

• To analyze and interpret business data to provide actionable insights that drive decision-making and improve business performance.
• To collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and deliver data-driven solutions.
• To design, implement, and maintain data models, reports, and dashboards that support strategic goals.
• To ensure data accuracy, integrity, and quality across systems and reporting processes.
• To identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of data governance
  best practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business objectives.
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate key findings to stakeholders.
• Gather, document, and validate business requirements from stakeholders to inform data-driven solutions.
• Collaborate with IT, data engineers, and other teams to ensure data systems meet business needs and requirements.
• Design and implement data models that align with business goals and improve decision-making processes.
• Conduct data quality checks to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of business data.
• Provide ongoing support for the creation and improvement of data collection, reporting, and analysis processes.
• Assist in identifying and implementing data governance practices and standards.
• Facilitate communication between technical teams and business stakeholders to bridge any knowledge gaps.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and data utilization.
• In addition to the primary responsibilities, the employee may be required to perform any other tasks that may be assigned from time to time

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, focusing on data analysis, business intelligence, or data-driven decision-making.
• Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of SQL and data querying techniques.
• Familiarity with databases, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
• Experience with analytics platforms or programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SAS) is a plus.
• Understanding of business processes and the ability to link data insights to business outcomes.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
• Knowledge of machine learning models and predictive analytics.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in Agile environments.
