About the job Specialist Fixed Asset Accountant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Fixed Asset Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fixed asset accounting and be able to effectively manage the company's fixed assets. The Specialist Fixed Asset Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of all fixed assets, tracking depreciation, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of all fixed assets, including acquisition, depreciation, and disposal
- Conduct regular physical audits of fixed assets to ensure the accuracy of records
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual fixed asset reports
- Calculate and record depreciation expenses
- Monitor and track capital expenditures and ensure proper classification of assets
- Review and reconcile fixed asset accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and other reports as needed
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper recording and tracking of fixed assets
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and standards related to fixed assets
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA or equivalent certification preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in fixed asset accounting
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
