Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) with strong experience in data warehousing and ETL processes to manage and optimize our data infrastructure. The role will focus on maintaining high-performance databases, ensuring data integrity, and supporting data integration pipelines that power analytics and business intelligence initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with database administration, ETL workflows, and data warehouse environments, and will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and BI teams to ensure reliable and scalable data systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain database systems supporting data warehouse environments.
- Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimization strategies.
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and availability across databases and data pipelines.
- Manage database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
- Optimize queries, indexing, and database performance for analytics and reporting workloads.
- Support data warehouse structures including dimensional models (star and snowflake schemas).
- Collaborate with data engineers, BI developers, and analysts to support reporting and analytics needs.
- Monitor ETL jobs and troubleshoot data pipeline failures to ensure reliable data flow.
- Maintain documentation of database structures, ETL workflows, and operational procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in database administration or data engineering roles.
- Strong experience with SQL and relational database management systems.
- Experience supporting data warehouse environments and large datasets.
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools or data integration platforms (e.g., SSIS, Informatica, Talend, DataStage, Airflow).
- Knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization.
- Understanding of data modeling and data warehouse architecture.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics platforms.
- Experience with automation or scripting (Python, Bash, etc.).
