Project Manager / Senior Project Manager, IT

The incumbent is responsible for leading, planning, managing, and implementing large and complex projects/products in accordance to the Company established Project Management Methodology and stipulated success metrics to enable the Company defined business goals.

• Manage all phases of project/product development (including initiation, planning, execution, implementation, and post-implementation actions) by utilising the methods, standards and processes as guided by the IT PMO

• Ensure project deliverables meet/exceed the goals of the Project Sponsor as stipulated by the Project Charter and adhere to defined quality standards.

• Monitor and report on project traction and progress and, as necessary, coordinate the development, discussion, and approval of remedial actions and/or contingency plans

• Effectively communicate project requirements and expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion besides providing direction and motivation to project team

• Supports the IT PMO in ensuring compliance of essential IT services to stipulated governance standards and quality commitments in conjunction to attaining the management defined IT performance metrics

Job Requirement:

• Prerequisite of certification in Project Management, preferably PMP and/or Prince2 certified or certifiable qualification in Project/Quality Management.

• Alternatively qualification in IT and complemented by minimally 5 years of experience in IT Management comprising

• Minimally 5 years in managing projects especially IT based; 3 years in a senior role and leadership capacity including managing IT applications; Experienced in managing large and complex multi-year projects.

• Understanding of Life/Takaful insurance operations and functions is advantageous.

• Prior experience in leading and managing a team is essential.
