Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY : The Quality Engineer is responsible for authoring test cases/scripts and performing test execution for both project and support related activities. The Quality Engineer is also expected to leverage technical expertise to develop maintain and execute automation tests. As well, the Quality Engineer II should help identify opportunities to improve application code quality by increasing unit and integration test coverage.
Minimum Position Qualifications
- Experience working with CI tools (Jenkins, TeamCity, GitLab etc.)
- Experience with QA processes and deliverables in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Proficient in defect tracking and analyzing root cause utilizing tools (Jira, Rally etc.)
- Strong understanding of automation concepts and approaches
- Experience working with or on remote teams
- Understand and utilize risk-based testing technique
- Experience in test environment and test data management
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, to challenge the norm
- 3+ years of hands-on, automation testing of integration web services ( REST and SOAP protocols) that include database validations using tools like ( CA Dev Test , Rest Assured , SOAP UI Pro, Postman etc.)
- Demonstrated experience in XML, XSD, XPath, MQTT, Topics, HTTP, HTTPS, JSON, Bytes array message format.
- 3+ years RestAssured framework experience for automation
- 3+ years of experience with Build Automation tools like Maven or Gradle or similar
- 3+ years of experience in writing SQL queries and validating the DB tables
- Experience in SOA frameworks, processes, strategies, and approaches
- 3+ Java/Javascript programming (and Selenium) is a plus
