RCS is seeking an Acquisition Specialist to support all facets of contract and acquisition administration for Navy medical research, including deliverable processing, documentation, and compliance in a high-volume federal environment.
This position requires the candidate to meet specific Security Clearance obligations to work onsite/hybrid in San Diego, CA.
What you will do:
- Prepare and review contract modification and closeout packages; ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Perform contract deliverable reviews (including invoices and travel/ODC requests) to verify compliance with requirements, funding, and approval standards.
- Draft documentation for COR review and support recurring administrative file maintenance.
- Resolve routine discrepancies by coordinating with vendors, program, or finance staff.
- Ensure up-to-date and compliant electronic filing of all contract records.
- Support daily and weekly process reviews, participate in team huddles and surge coverage.
Required Qualifications/Education:
- Clearance: Able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship required (NO EXCEPTIONS)
- Bachelor's degree (required).
- 3+ years' relevant federal or DoD contract, acquisition, or admin experience (or equivalent per GSA LCAT).
- Familiarity with file/document control and federal contract deliverable requirements.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
