RCS is seeking an Applications Developer to coordinate, plan, develop, support, and execute cyber research and tasking. The developer will perform Agile based Operations & Maintenance (O&M), for a Tasking Portal housed in a Cloud environment. The tasking portal allows for end users to input requests and specific data for data collection.

This position requires the candidate to work onsite in Chantilly, VA. Relocation assistance is not available.

What you will do:

• Perform day-to-day tasks such as bug fixes and enhancement releases.
• Gather and assist in the preparation of requirements based on customer needs.
• Analyze requirements and translate them to both user stories and development tasks.
• Prepare documentation such as program, user, and security documentation.
• Develop and maintain software applications, including web applications and user interfaces.
• Develop in a cloud environment.
• Enhance software to improve efficiency.

Required Qualifications/Education:

• Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph
• Agile methodology from inception through integration and deployment.
• Supporting production systems and assisting customers with timely issue resolution.
• Gathering and identifying technical requirements.
• Cloud infrastructure like Amazon Web Services or equivalent.
• Developing JavaScript web services using Node.js, to include Express.js applications and Micro Services.
• Representational State Transfer (REST) APIs, Spring Model View Controller (MVC), and Spring Boot.
• Web Application Programming to include developing JavaScript, HTML, or CSS web user interfaces.
• Web UI frameworks such as React or Extended JavaScript (Ext JS).
• Developing Java-based APIs.
• Deploying and maintaining APIs on AWS infrastructure.
• Back-End API, integrating, operating, or deploying MySQL.
• Front-End UI/UX JavaScript UI framework(s) such as Angular, React, or Vue.

Nice to Have Qualifications:

• Establishing data, performance, and communications objectives for prototype systems.
• Cloud environment.
• Data architecture.
• Application environment.
• Back-End SecDevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines.
• Back-End Container technologies such as Docker.
• Front-End UX design frameworks such as Bootstrap or Material Design.
