Position: Electrical Engineer Intern
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Electrical Engineer Intern to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya.
In this role, you will assist with the maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of generators and electrical systems. Your duties will include helping technicians on service calls, learning about generator operations, and performing basic tasks like wiring and inspecting equipment.
This is a full-time, 3-month internship that will provide hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work on various projects and gain valuable skills and knowledge in the field of electrical engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, development, and testing of electrical systems and components
- Conduct research and analysis to support project planning and decision making
- Collaborate with senior engineers to develop and implement innovative solutions
- Participate in project meetings and provide updates on progress and challenges
- Prepare technical reports and documentation
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications
- Support the installation and commissioning of electrical systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in electrical engineering
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Strong academic background with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or Second Class degree qualification.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems.
- Proficient in using electrical engineering software and tools
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication. teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Willingness to learn and work hands-on.
