Site Manager - Construction

We are searching for an experienced Site Manager to oversee an exciting construction project within the Brighton area. This role involves directing on-site activities, ensuring adherence to deadlines and budgets, and upholding construction quality for a fantastic company.

The Role:

  • Direct and supervise construction activities on-site.
  • Oversee staff and ensure adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Track project progress and report milestones to management.
  • Manage site logistics, including material deliveries and equipment usage.
  • Implement and uphold quality control procedures.
  • Address issues and conflicts arising during construction.

The Person:

We are seeking a highly organised and motivated individual with a strong construction background. The successful candidate will have civils experience and a proven track record as a Site Manager in the construction industry.

  • A valid SMSTS qualification is required.
  • A strong grasp of relevant construction software tools is also advantageous.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal abilities to effectively manage a diverse team of professionals, including subcontractors and site personnel. Demonstrated ability to foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Impeccable time management and organisational abilities, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. Attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • A deep understanding of health and safety regulations in construction, with a commitment to ensuring a safe and compliant workplace.

Additional Information:

  • Hours of work 8am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday.
  • Competitive day rate negotiable depending on experience.
  • Working in a supportive and collaborative team setting.
  • Please note that this position is based onsite Monday to Friday, as the nature of the role does not allow for hybrid working options.
