Job Summary:

The main role of Project Engineer (MEPFS) is to ensure that the highest quality of mechanical, electrical plumbing and safety construction works are in accordance with the project specific costs, set standards and schedule requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, implement and oversee construction efforts at specific work sites
  • Plan MEPFS system interrelationships, construction sequencing and project schedule
  • Draft and provide written reports to the Chief Construction Officer/Construction Manager, as well as other concerned departments, regarding MEPFS construction matters, construction progress, implementation and completion of MEPFS construction works
  • Direct, monitor, inspect and ensure schedule performance and quality workmanship of MEPFS contractors; and ensure that they provide and adhere to relevant quality documentation or records
  • Validate design issues related to MEPFS and suggest alternative solutions
  • Coordination and administration of MEPFS related materials, systems and drawing submittals
  • Facilitate/Assist in the testing and commissioning of MEPFS equipment
  • Attend and document weekly site meetings with the Chief Construction Officer/Construction Manager, contractors, subcontractors and other site personnel on matters regarding MEPFS construction progress
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Must be a graduate of any Engineering course or equivalent
  • PRC license is an advantage but not a requirement
  • At least 3-5 years relevant work experience in construction site supervision (specific to Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection and Safety) of a residential development company with excellent hands-on construction skills on either vertical or horizontal projects
  • Experience in supervising construction projects with excellent understanding of civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and finishing work
  • Hands-on experience with directing the activities of contractors and crews in both horizontal land development and vertical construction
  • Ability to organize resources (time, materials, labor), multi-task and supervise numerous crews handling a variety of tasks
  • Good judgment and analytical skills in order to evaluate issues that occur in the field and be able to determine proper corrective action
  • Proficient in reviewing and reading engineering drawings
  • Thorough knowledge of local Building and Engineering Codes
  • Understanding of proper safety procedures and recognition of hazards
  • Good interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills
  • Must be amenable to work in project site locations such as Bulacan, Cavite and Laguna
