The Role: Strategic Matchmaker
This is not a typical business development role, nor is it a classic sales position. Think of this more as being a Strategic Matchmaker.
We need someone who enjoys understanding how industries work, mapping opportunities, and connecting the right stakeholders at the right time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Relationship Management: Build and nurture deep relationships with suppliers, founders, investors, and strategic partners.
- Capability Evaluation: Vet and understand what different businesses and individuals can truly deliver.
- Industry Mapping: Continuously learn about new sectors and identify where the next opportunity lies.
- Strategic Matching: Identify high-value matches between people, capital, assets, and ideas.
- Deal Flow: Manage conversations and complex deals with precision, discretion, and a focus on long-term reputation.
- Structure & Execution: Maintain meticulous records in the CRM and follow opportunities from the initial spark to final execution.
- Opportunity Discovery: Initiate new conversations and uncover opportunities that others might miss.
