Position Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned QA Lead to oversee and govern the QA function for an Oracle Fusion ERP implementation. This role is primarily focused on managing and holding accountable a third-party vendor responsible for testing activities. The QA Lead will ensure that all testing processes meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and compliance while maintaining strong client-facing and executive presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. QA Governance and Oversight:
    1. Act as the primary point of contact for overseeing the third-party vendors testing activities.
    2. Ensure adherence to agreed-upon quality standards, timelines, and deliverables.
    3. Validate test scripts, test scenarios, and execution plans to ensure comprehensive coverage of business requirements.
  1. Vendor Management:
  2. Monitor and evaluate the vendors performance against contractual obligations and KPIs.
  3. Facilitate regular reviews with the vendor to address issues, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  4. Ensure timely resolution of defects and escalate critical issues when necessary.
  1. Quality Assurance Strategy:
  2. Define and enforce QA processes, standards, and best practices tailored to the ERP implementation.
  3. Review and approve test plans, strategies, and reports submitted by the third-party vendor.
  4. Ensure all phases of testing (e.g., unit, integration, system, UAT) are executed effectively.
  1. Stakeholder Engagement:
  2. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including project managers, business analysts, and technical teams, to align on quality objectives.
  3. Provide regular updates to senior leadership on testing progress, risks, and outcomes.
  4. Act as a trusted advisor to clients by demonstrating expertise in QA governance for ERP systems.
  1. Risk Management:
  2. Identify potential risks in testing processes or deliverables and implement mitigation strategies.
  3. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements throughout the QA lifecycle.
  1. Documentation and Reporting:
  2. Review test documentation for accuracy, completeness, and clarity.
  3. Prepare comprehensive reports on testing outcomes, defect trends, and quality metrics for stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in QA governance roles within large-scale ERP implementations (preferably Oracle Fusion).
  • Strong background in managing third-party vendors or external QA teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and executive stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage risks, resolve conflicts, and ensure accountability in vendor relationships.
  • Big 4+ experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems' functional domains such as finance, supply chain, or HR is a plus.
