Detailed description of the Dredging Works Manager Role

The Dredging Works Manager is responsible for organizing and supervising the execution of dredging works according to preset planning, budgeting, and applied methods while observing quality, safety, and environmental care standards. This role involves close cooperation with the Project Manager (PM) and requires minimizing risks to personnel and equipment.

Key responsibilities include scheduling the deployment of personnel, dredging vessels, auxiliary equipment, and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with legal and contractual requirements, and executing work according to customer and company requirements. The Dredging Works Manager is also responsible for selecting the most suitable staff for executing dredging works in consultation with the HR Department and reporting defects to vessels or auxiliary equipment to the Technical Department, Project Manager, and Head Office.

Daily reporting and consultation with the Project Manager, Project Team, and Head Office on operational activities are essential, particularly regarding the progress of assigned works. The Dredging Works Manager is responsible for the safety and health of employees and subcontractors, including environmental performance, and must execute work in accordance with local environmental prescriptions and regulations.

Additional responsibilities include making honest and valued evaluations of staff, defending the company's viewpoints, delegating tasks to site staff, and studying and implementing methods to increase production. The Dredging Works Manager must also demonstrate commitment to the continual improvement of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) performance and ensure the effectiveness of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS).

Educational qualifications and certifications for this role include a Master or Civil Engineer degree in Construction, Mechanical, or Marine Engineering. Behavioral skills such as acting as a role model, effective communication, conflict management, and the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team are essential. The ideal candidate should have 5 to 10 years of experience in dredging projects in a relevant role, be fluent in English, and possess advanced IT skills, including Excel, Projects, and AutoCAD.

Passing physical fitness from AD Health Service Co. SEHA is mandatory. Physical examinations and investigation test (ADMA) will be required before working at offshore Oil and Gas projects.
