Technology Designer (IT & ELV)

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Responsible for designing enterprise IT&T network and ELV solutions.

• Prepare technical drawings, system layouts, specifications and tender documents.
• Participate in design and project coordination meeting, perform on-site inspection and provide consultancy support during the whole project circle.
• Provide technical consultancy service to our customers in SE Asia and Asia Pacific region.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, client requirements and project specifications.

REQUIREMENTS

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma/ Professional Degree, Master's Degree in Engineering (Computer/ Telecommunication), Engineering (Electrical / Electronic), Computer Science/ Information Technology, Physics, Science & Technology or equivalent.
• At least 1 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Project Management and site experience, exposure in SE Asia project is preferrable.
• Knowledge in IT networking, LAN/WAN, WiFi systems, switches and routers
• Basic understanding or experience in ELV systems such as CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Alarm, Intercom, Physical barrier security system, etc. will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with IP-based systems, network infrastructure and system integration.
• Experience and good knowledge in Data Center – ELV design or commissioning will be an advantage.
• Proficiency in using AutoCAD is MUST and knowledge of Autodesk Revit is an advantage.
• Qualifications of CISCO CCNA, CISCO CCNP, BICSI, CompTia, MCITP or similar are preferable.
• Good command of spoken and written in English and Bahasa Malaysia are mandatory; Mandarin would be an advantage to liaise with Mandarin speaking clients.
• Willingness to travel in SE Asia and Asia Pacific region when required.
• Strong initiative, customer-oriented, strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to meet tight schedule.
• Good writing skill and capable of producing professional design/ tender documents.
• Hardworking and willing to learn.
