Job description:
- Setting Sales Targets: Responsible for establishing sales goals and targets for their team. They work closely with senior management to develop sales strategies and plans to achieve these targets.
- Team Management: recruit, train, and mentor a team of sales representatives. They provide guidance, support, and coaching to help their team members improve their sales skills and achieve their individual targets.
- Sales Planning and Strategy: develop sales plans and strategies to identify new business opportunities, target key market segments, and maximize sales growth. They analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to formulate effective sales approaches.
- Sales Performance Monitoring: monitor the performance of their sales team by tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), such as sales revenue, conversion rates, and customer acquisition. They use this data to assess individual and team performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Sales Forecasting and Reporting: prepare sales forecasts and reports, providing insights into sales trends, market conditions, and opportunities for growth. They present these reports to senior management to inform decision-making and resource allocation.
- Customer Relationship Management: foster strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders. They may participate in meetings with potential clients, negotiate sales contracts, and address customer concerns or complaints.
- Collaboration with Other Departments: such as marketing, product development, and customer service, to align sales efforts with overall business objectives. They provide input and feedback on product strategies, pricing, and customer needs.
- Sales Training and Development: organize and conduct sales training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of their team members. They stay updated with industry trends and sales techniques to ensure their team is equipped with the necessary tools to succeed.
- Budgeting and Resource Allocation: responsible for managing the sales department budget. They allocate resources effectively, such as sales territories, marketing materials, and promotional activities, to optimize sales performance.
- Performance Evaluation: conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to their team members. They recognize outstanding achievements, address performance issues, and implement measures to motivate and incentivize the sales team.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience as a Sales Manager or in a similar sales leadership role.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities. - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
