Director of HR (Head)

Reporting to General Manager & COO.

Oversee 90 restaurants in Malaysia with approximately 1500+ workforce including Head Office. Lead a team of 8 HR personnel.

Talent Management & Retention

  • Sourcing, selection and hiring of the right talent to support the Company expansion.
  • Working on Talent Management and Succession Planning to establish a talent pool to support business expansion.
  • Oversee the recruitment plan for new restaurant and existing restaurant.
  • Partnering with Operations Managers to build a sustainable workforce and drive operational excellent in terms of labor cost and quality hiring.
  • Engage and collaborate with the university and colleges for future talent pipeline.
  • Negotiate better rates with recruitment agencies/ executive search firms.
  • Successfully revamped the employee survey system to improve the survey accuracy.

  • Work on yearly performance appraisal, increment and bonus payout.
  • Work on incentive plan for restaurants operations.
  • Provide insights of employee welfare to Group HR.

  • Oversee the employee welfare activities are carry out diligently.

Performance Management

  • Act as an advisor/ coach to line managers in managing Performance Improvement Plan.
  • Act as an advisor/ coach to line managers for goal setting and communicate with the employee for annual review/ KPI setting
  • Responsible in annual increment/ bonus payout exercise

Industrial Relation & Employee Relation

  • Oversee or handle Domestic Inquiry for severe disciplinary cases.
  • Act as an advisor to line managers and business partner for handling staffs issues and industrial relation matters.
  • Engage the employee via formal & informal channel and follow up with action plan.
  • Review and analyze the insights to improve employee morale and retention purpose.

Payroll

  • Review, monitor and analyze monthly labour cost to provide key insight of payroll management.
