Corporate Tax Senior

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

·         A minimum of 3 years’ tax experience within a professional accountancy practice

·         Ideally, CTA finalist with study support available to complete qualification

·         Demonstrates a good level of understanding of own technical/ professional function

·         Experience of working on long term client relationships and of working on a fee basis with clients

·         Computer literate; in particular a good working knowledge of Excel

Desirable:

Good working knowledge of Alphatax or CCH Corporation Tax and CCH Documents Filing

Skills and Personal Qualities:

Leadership and Planning

·         A clear understanding of the Firm’s wider goals and vision

·         A clear vision for Tax Service for clients

·         Excellent communication skills – able to communicate openly and honestly at all levels

·         Ability to compose letters and emails to convey complex information in a succinct and action orientated way.

·         Experience of delegating work and supervising junior members of staff

Self-Management

·         Able to demonstrate an astute use of initiative to solve problems

·         The ability to work to timescales and meet deadlines

·         Ability to plan and organise tasks/priorities effectively

·         Gives appropriate attention to detail and has the ability to think laterally to provide a comprehensive approach to tax advice

·         The ability to utilise technical expertise to contribute to the development and broadening of the service for clients

·         Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to develop and maintain client relationships

·         Ability to explain tax matters to clients clearly and concisely
