SUMMARY:
Our client, a prestigious national law firm, seeks a Labor & Employment Associate with four to seven years of experience. The ideal candidate should have significant employment litigation experience, with the ability to handle depositions and primarily run cases, with oversight. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Will work primarily with attorneys in the Technology, Manufacturing & Transportation business unit.
- Handle defense of employment lawsuits, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and retaliation claims.
- Advise clients on employment policies, ADA/FMLA compliance, wage and hour laws, and employment agreements.
- Managing labor relations, grievances, and collective bargaining
- Perform additional tasks assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have 4–7 years of experience in labor and employment litigation and counseling.
- JD (Juris Doctor) Degree from an Accredited Law School
- Active Member of the Illinois Bar Association in good standing
- Must demonstrate exceptional judgment and ability to effectively handle multiple projects, articulate legal strategies & courses of action.
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure.
- Excellent academic credentials as well as Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and courtroom skills.
