Linux System Administrator

IMPORTANT: Active TS/SCI Clearance REQUIRED!!

OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a skilled and security-cleared Linux System Administrator to join our dedicated team in Sarasota, Florida. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with our IT group, customers, and remote site teams in support of mission-critical systems for the Intelligence Community and Department of Defense. The ideal candidate will be proactive, analytical, and customer-focused, with the ability to follow established procedures while also designing solutions to meet evolving technical challenges.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Administer and maintain Linux-based systems (RHEL, Rocky Linux) across development and production environments
• Configure and deploy Docker containers and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS
• Install, upgrade, and troubleshoot software applications and hardware components
• Provide technical support to users and manage system permissions and user accounts
• Perform regular security monitoring, vulnerability assessments, and compliance testing
• Maintain and support network file systems and ensure system integrity
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address system issues and implement improvements
• Follow supervisor guidance while proactively identifying and resolving technical concerns
• Perform additional duties as assigned in support of mission operations

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Linux system administration
• Active TS/SCI clearance (must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information)
• CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent
• Advanced proficiency in Linux (RHEL, Rocky), AWS cloud services, and Docker containerization
• Strong knowledge of networking, coding, cloud computing, and system troubleshooting
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to deliver responsive and effective customer service in a secure environment
