Litigation Associate

SUMMARY:

Our client, a prestigious global law firm, seeks a litigation associate with at least three years of experience to join their Logistics, Energy, and Manufacturing Litigation Group in Atlanta. A background in transportation litigation is strongly preferred, and experience in tort matters, defending motor carrier clients, and handling insurance coverage disputes will be considered a significant plus.

This position offers the opportunity to take on meaningful responsibility in an active and varied federal and state court practice, with cases that extend on a national scale.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage transportation, trucking, and logistics litigation files from inception through trial, including catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death cases.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and responses.
• Take and defend fact and expert witness depositions and attend court hearings and mediations.
• Report case progress to stakeholders and develop proactive resolution strategies.
• Advise on transportation regulations, cargo claims, and risk management.
• Perform additional tasks & duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• AM Law 100 to 200 firm Experience
• JD (Juris Doctor) Degree from ABA Accredited Law School with Strong Academic Credentials.
• Active Georgia Bar Membership in Good Standing.
• Must Have minimum 3+ years of experience in transportation litigation and tort matters, defending motor carrier clients, and handling insurance coverage disputes.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills, along with experience in depositions, discovery, and motion practice.
• Must be detail-oriented, exercise sound judgment, and demonstrate the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
