Trademark Copyright Attorney

SUMMARY:

Our client, a nationally recognized & prestigious law firm, is seeking a highly qualified and motivated mid-level associate for their Trademark, Copyright and Branding Practice Group. Ideal candidates will possess at least 2 to 5 years of legal experience in U.S. trademark clearance, prosecution, portfolio management, and TTAB work, copyright counseling, and trademark-specific litigation experience. Some international prosecution experience and licensing and acquisition agreement experience is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct U.S. and international trademark clearance searches, prosecution, and maintenance.
• Manage Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) proceedings and trademark litigation.
• Advise clients on brand protection, domain name issues, and internet/e-commerce enforcement.
• Draft and negotiate licensing and acquisition agreements; conduct IP due diligence for mergers.
• Provide advice on copyright protection and related intellectual property matters.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have possess at least 2 to 5 years of legal experience in U.S. trademark clearance, prosecution, copyright counseling, and trademark-specific litigation.
• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar admission
• Active Bar Membership in Good Standing within the State where Role is Located.
• Must have experience with TTAB work, global portfolio management, and IP litigation is highly valued.
