SUMMARY:
Our client seeks a litigation associate to join the Finance & Restructuring practice group. Their Finance & Restructuring team provides integrated and strategic legal counsel on the full range of financial matters, including complex financial transactions, corporate debt restructurings, and related litigation matters. Ideal candidates will have 3-5 years of litigation experience within an Am-Law 100 firm. NOTE: This is a Hybrid Work Opportunity.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Represent clients in bankruptcy courts, federal courts, and state courts regarding complex commercial, financial, and reorganization disputes.
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and legal memoranda.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research on insolvency law, Chapter 11 proceedings, and creditor rights.
- Advise financial institutions, creditors, and distressed companies through restructuring processes.
- Manage the litigation process, including document production, expert witness preparation, and depositions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must Have 3-5 years of litigation experience within an Am-Law 100 firm.
- JD (Juris Doctor) Degree from an Accredited Law School with Strong Academic Credentials.
- Active New York Bar Membership in Good Standing.
- Strong legal research, analytical, and writing abilities. Ability to manage multiple, fast-paced matters simultaneously.
