Job Summary:
The PeopleSoft Developer specializes in the implementation, development, and maintenance of Oracle PeopleSoft software solutions. This role involves reviewing functional specifications and translating them into technical design specifications, developing technical solutions, and performing unit testing. The developer will also be responsible for troubleshooting existing software and providing technical support to customers while ensuring proper documentation and code reviews.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze functional specifications to create technical design documents.
- Develop and implement PeopleSoft applications using tools such as Application Designer, SQR, PeopleCode, and Integration Broker.
- Perform unit testing and debugging of developed solutions to ensure quality and functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing PeopleSoft applications.
- Provide technical support to end-users and stakeholders.
- Conduct code reviews and document all development work for knowledge transition.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in PeopleSoft development and customization.
- Proficiency in Application Designer, PeopleCode, SQR, and Integration Broker.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in unit testing and troubleshooting PeopleSoft applications.
- Excellent documentation and code review abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with PeopleSoft upgrades, patches, and maintenance.
- Familiarity with database management and SQL tuning.
- Knowledge of web services and integration technologies.
- Certification in PeopleSoft Development or related technologies.
