Software Presales Engineer (Public Sector & EU Projects)

QnR Group is looking for a Software Presales Engineer to support the design and preparation of technology proposals for large-scale Public Sector (Greece & EU).

The role sits at the intersection of technology, solution architecture, and bid preparation, working closely with Sales, Bid Management, Delivery teams, and strategic partners to shape winning proposals.

The ideal candidate understands enterprise software systems, solution architecture, and system integration, and is interested in participating in the preparation of complex ICT tenders and digital transformation projects.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of technical proposals for public sector tenders and large ICT projects
• Participate in solution design and architecture definition for enterprise systems
• Contribute to technical documentation, proposals, and tender responses
• Work with internal teams to define technical approach, effort estimation, and implementation methodology
• Collaborate with partners and technology vendors in joint proposals
• Assist in the preparation of presentations, demos, and technical solution narratives
• Support presales activities for EU projects and international tenders when required

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
• 2 – 6 years experience in software engineering, solution architecture, or presales roles
• Understanding of proposal writing and technical bid preparation
• Understanding of enterprise software development and system integration projects
• Familiarity with software architectures, APIs, microservices, and cloud environments
• Experience and knowledge of cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, OCI) and virtualization platforms (VMware, KVM, OpenShift) will be highly valued as an additional qualification
• Creativity in leveraging open-source software for solution documentation and the execution of R&D activities will be considered an additional asset
• Strong analytical and documentation skills
• Excellent written and spoken English

Nice to Have

• Experience with public sector ICT projects or tender procedures
• Exposure to EU tenders (e.g. EU Institutions/Agencies tenders)
• Familiarity with enterprise platforms (e.g. ServiceNow, SAP, IBM, Microsoft, etc.)
• Experience in AI / Data platforms / cybersecurity solutions
