Competitive hourly rate: up to $50 per hour (based on experience and qualifications

We are currently seeking skilled Belt Splicers to join our Clients team. The successful candidates will be responsible for performing conveyor belt splicing and repairs on site at various NSW client locations. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, technical proficiency, and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct conveyor belt splicing and repairs according to industry standards and client specifications
• Perform belt installations, vulcanising and mechanical splicing as required.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose conveyor belt issues, recommending appropriate solutions.
• Always ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• General conveyor maintenance and inspection on conveyor belts and associated components.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Belt Splicer or similar role in the mining or heavy industry sector.
• Strong knowledge of conveyor systems, belt splicing techniques and repair methods.
• Proficiency in vulcanising and mechanical splicing techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols.
• Valid drivers licence and willingness to travel to client sites as required.

• MR Drivers Licence
• Forklift Licence
• Dogging Certificate
• Rigging Certificate
• EWP
• Confined Space / Working at Heights

Benefits:

• Competitive hourly rate: up to $50 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
• Overtime - Time a half for the first two hours - Double time thereafter.
• Travelling - Monday to Saturday - Paid at a single time. - Sunday - Time and a half.
