Cost Controller

Location: Malta

Basis: Full time

Remuneration: Salary + Benefits

Main Duties:

• Compare real costs to standard costs to ensure accuracy and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Assist in maintaining and updating the Standard Cost System
• Help control stock levels and optimise efficiencies in inventory management
• Work closely with the Plant Manager and operations teams to meet budgeting goals and improve overall efficiency
• Establish and refine systems to track monthly operational manufacturing costs
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for production costs, both direct and indirect
• Measure plant utilisation and idle capacity to identify opportunities for improvement
• Collaborate with the Plant Manager to assess and establish the real production cost for new product launches

What skills do you need?

• Minimum of 2 years experience in cost management accounting
• A Level 6 certification in accountancy or in possession of an MBA
• Being conversant with Microsoft Office software, particularly Microsoft Excel
• Experience with ERP systems (knowledge of SAP will be considered an asset)
• Fluency in spoken and written English
• Able to work in a team environment
• Motivated and proactive person, able to take responsibilities and results oriented

Eligibility to work in the EU is a must
